PREFACE :

 

Smt. P. Kalyanamma garu, Mother and Founder of Montessori Institutions in Kurnool.  She has made an indelible impression on the minds of the people and ever respectable personality in the field of education for the contribution she has made to improve educational standards and to ensure the preservation of educative values.  It is proud to say she is the best-known educationalist and best-loved administrator.  Her thoughts and outlook centers on the importance of learning being enjoyable and rewarding.  She has followed chapter and verse of the Montessori methodology of education in support of her administration and also for having and blissful journey in learning.  She has encouraged her supporting staff to tap the latent talent of the child and to captivate it to the fullest,  in the garden of learning (i.e Montessori and sister concerns) a magical and a gifted place. 

          Rich tributes to her commitment, diligence, and visionary outlook and she always stands as a beacon of hope  as long as educative values are concerned.

          So she has a special place in the society and enshrined in the hearts of all and sundry as  “a gem in the field of education”.

 

A TALENTED EDUCATIONALIST

 

1. She is a prolific writer.Her voluminous piece of writing exemplifies her passion towards literary work.

She got married to Sri. K. Narayana garu in the year 20th May 1956. He is a man of “Plain living and great thinking.”  His lofty ideals and amicable nature has created an ideal ambience on the school campus.  He regards social values and has maintained healthy relations with everyone.

On the whole he has supported her better half in all walks of life and strengthened her capacities.  He has infused confidence in her and later it paved to come their dream true.  They have hung together in the matter of establishing a school and soon there emerged in the name of “Montessori Institutions”, established in the year 1972 with the motto “Help the child to help himself.”  The strength was 12 accomodated in a rented building. In course of time, with the increased strength founded Vidyanagar Campus, which is considered to be Mother Institution and later constructed additional campuses in A’Camp with good reputation in 1990.

In addition to aforesaid campuses, Indus, a sister concern, a ray of hope to keep pace with ever changing standards in the field of education.  It has been step-up to cater the needs of educative values.  It has got a magnificient infrastructure and awesome architecture.  It has spacious class rooms with efficient staff striving hard for the all round development.  It is established with the motto “ to be the best among the equals.”  

 

Undeterred with dire consequences and moved ahead with self-sufficiency and strong determination.  Today the school and its sister concerns, gained prominence and touched the pinnacle of glory.

 

                     FRUITFUL MARRIED LIFE (CONSANGUINITY)

 

The founders or Montessori Institutions and their three sons.  Sri Krishna Mohan, Sri Raja Sekhar and Sri Ravi Prakash.   The proud parents of three sons who have been extremely successful.

Dr. Krishna Mohan – Orthopaedic Surgeon, G.G.H. Kurnool.

Shri Rajasekhar : Director, Montessori Schools, Kurnool.

Shri Ravi Prakash : Director, Montessori School, Alampur.

                              STRONG ROOTS (Earlier influences)

 

Her childhood and teenage were very secure both materially and emotionally with traditional values.  She was blue-blooded child.  She was brought under loving care of her parents and who carved her bright future.  She learnt the values of being honest, self-disciplined, kind and deep-rooted faith in goodness from her parents.  Her strong conviction was sown in her teen that the girl child should be well educated enough to be self-reliant.

         

She successfully accomplished her schooling and college in the Govt. High School in Pattikonda and Osmania College in Kurnool.  She was bold  candid and sharp at grasping concepts.  She proved to be unusually intelligent and blended with bundle of talents from her earlier career. 

 

She acquired her Bachelor’s Degree in Humanities.  She was a diligent student with exceptional communication skills.  She completed her graduation in Osmania College, Kurnool in the year _____.

 

She was always in awe of the books in the college library and was a vorocious reader, the habit that she maintained even as a septuagenarian.

 

Later, she went on to accomplish her plasters in Economics with the institution of joining the teaching fraternity as a lecturer.

 

 

FINAL STAGE :

 

Since her childhood to the establishment of Montessori Institutions, She persued her career adroitly and successfully given shape to her ideas.  Despite denunciations and hardships, she showed perseverance and commitment to confront challenges, reached her destination and got accolades all around.  As the responsibility was immense on her shoulders, she never rested on laurels and became an embodiment of industry.

She was a moving encyclopedia to many who worked under her able guidance.  Till her last breath, though she handed over the responsibilities to her beloved children, she was behind every success of the school.  Her  stream of ideas geared to inspire the willing and enthuse the weary.  Her thought provoking opinions are still alive and a beacon of light to her successors. 

 

 Truly an inspirational image and so, though, she is not there physically, she is in high veneration for her  culmination.

Her sudden demise was a big blow and an irrepairable loss to the members of the family.  But it is inevitable.  Her soul left her body on July 13th,2012 and her separation from them is heart-breaking. 

 

We pray to God to let her soul remain in peace and also to give strength and courage to the members of family.

 

She remains as,

Unmatching, unparalleling

Saluting Mother of Montessori.

 

                               In praise of Madam

 

Among the noblest of the land

That person I honour and revere

Who, without prejudice, without fear

In the great city at Kurnool dares to stand

The educationalist of every underwent student at Montessori.

You are not just a teacher , you are a gardener

You are to sow and water the seeds of greatness in the future leaders entrusted in your care  and to weed out all the ill habits that will hinder them from achieving their full potentials

You are not just a preacher, you are an artist

You paint beautiful pictures of a great future on the hearts every student

Your are not just an instructor , You are a mentor

 You give this great future leaders the keys  to success and to enshrine in the hearts of everyone

You are not just a care-taker , you are a builder

You build in them the principles , habits and lifestyles of greatness daily one day at a time

You are not  just  a great administrator, but a role model

You are a shining example of what true greatness can be
